Moreton Bay Regional Council Business of the Year will be announced at the Gala Awards ceremony.
The 2019 awards program is proudly delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council.
MBRIT Chairman, Shane Newcombe, says the awards are not just for the winners, but for all businesses, nominees, and finalists.
“The thriving business community we have in the Moreton Bay Region doesn’t just happen. It’s through the hard-work and dedication of local operators and their staff, community groups, entrepreneurs, and young people,” Mr Newcombe said.
“The business awards are a chance for groups and individuals, along with their friends and family, to recognise and celebrate all their efforts from the past year.”
Moreton Bay Regional Council Mayor Allan Sutherland congratulated the success of local businesses in the region in 2019.
“The strength of this year’s impressive applications reflects the innovation and quality our local businesses are always striving for,” Mayor Sutherland said
“Local businesses are incredibly valuable to our regional economy and Council is proud to support these awards as a way to celebrate and recognise the outstanding professionalism of our local business sector.
“Moreton Bay Region is one of the fastest growing economies in Queensland - last financial year we had nearly 3000 new businesses registrations and our economy grew to more than $18.5 billion.
“That success is owed entirely to the energy and talent of local business owners and the employees that power them.”
Finalists from 12 award categories will be notified on Monday, 21 October with winners presented at the gala event. Judges will also present the major award, Moreton Bay Regional Council Business of the Year, to one of the 2019 applicants.
The awards will be hosted by local legend, Ian Skippen, and tickets include a two-course meal, drinks package, live entertainment and presentation ceremony.
The gala awards is a regular sell out event, with those interested encouraged to secure their table early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are $99.00 per person and full table bookings are also available. BOOK SEATS
