It is a massive tournament with over $100,000 in prize money up for grabs for the world class bowlers who attend. Broadcast live on Fox Sports to over 200,000 people and with thousands of people flocking to the venue from all over Australia, it really is a great tourism event to be hosted by a local club.

All nominations were submitted by an employer or colleague of the nominee who wanted to recognise and celebrate an outstanding employee.
Tanya Ricketts is the Marketing Coordinator at Sesame Lane. She has been with the company for four and half years and during that time she has become an invaluable part of not just the marketing team but the whole organisation. Anyone who knows Tanya will know how contagious her positivity and can-do attitude is and why she has the nickname “Little Ray of Sunshine”.
Melissa is the founding director of a not-for-profit organisation called A Brave Life & is extremely passionate about encouraging and empowering young women to dream big and to "Live Life Brave". Using her own life story and experiences, Melissa wanted to make a difference for teenage & young mothers in her community by encouraging them to finish high school, pursue their dreams and to "LIVE LIFE BRAVE". Melissa is the mother to 3 children aged 24, 18 & 14 and in between running A Brave Life, Melissa works as a Registered Nurse and Midwife.
Lucy has been an Animal Attendant with Northshore Pet Resort for the last 6 years, where she has made it her mission to go above and beyond for the animals under her care. With a wide range of knowledge across the animal industry, she has proven to be a reliable, caring, passionate professional in her chosen field. She has been named many times personally in customer reviews for her dedication in ensuring that families feel at ease leaving their pets in her care, giving them the peace of mind they deserve.
Daniel Nixon oversees daily operations at Trident RFID, an innovative company operating in the sports timing industry. Trident exists to provide enhanced sports timing RFID technology to event timers for easy and effortless timing around the world.
Since his employment in 2018, Daniel Nixon has shown exceptional business acumen by improving, refining and expanding key facets of the company, such as financials, manufacturing, support, and sales. In return for his efforts with the rest of the team, Trident RFID has experienced a 50% increase in revenue over the last 12 months.
Trent Arieni is a 23-year-old Production, Purchasing and Logistics Manager with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who has worked exceptionally hard overcoming many challenges being 60% hearing impaired from birth. This affected Trent’s ability at school to learn at the pace of his classmates and the brunt of schoolyard bullying at times. Because of Trent’s past experiences of low self-esteem, Trent takes pride in being the complete opposite of what he had to endure and puts his heart and soul into developing an excellent team environment and building exceptional customer and supplier relationships, so all feel appreciated.
The Building a Stronger Community Award recognises an organisation (profit or not-for-profit) in the Moreton Bay Region that has delivered strong, community-based initiative(s) within the past 12 months that positively impacts on, and delivers long-term benefits for the community.
CUA is Australia’s largest & oldest credit union. The CUA North Lakes Community Hub is CUA’s innovative way of supporting the Moreton Bay Community. The hub offers a free event space & private meeting room that is available during & after business hours. Since opening, a diverse range of events have been held by the community. Over 160 events have been hosted, with 51,387 people coming through the doors. The Community Hub is aimed at building lasting and meaningful relationships in the community via this unique concept of a space where banking and community meet.
